La Femme Beauty Lounge Brand Film
A luxury brand film for La Femme Beauty Lounge in Houston, made to launch the lounge's new services: nails, facials and injectables. We wrote, directed, shot and edited the film in-house.
The goal
Vantha, the founder of La Femme, was growing the lounge beyond hair. She wanted one film to do four jobs: announce the expansion, show every service, attract a more upscale client and drive bookings.
Above all, the film had to show what a visit to La Femme feels like. You walk in one way and leave transformed.
The idea
Before planning a single shot, I studied the brand. La Femme is polished, sexy and high fashion. Its clients want more than a haircut. They want the full experience, and they want to walk out feeling like a new woman.
So I skipped the usual salon tour and built a story with a hook. The film opens on CCTV-style footage of a woman bursting into the lounge, her hair a mess. Vantha guides her through each room: nails, facials, injectables. Every stop shows a service without reading out a menu.
Then the hero turns in the styling chair and the light shifts. The lounge goes dark and cinematic. The mood tells you the transformation is coming before you see the reveal.
The film ends on a runway-style walk with the full cast. The woman who walked in as an emergency walks out as the star. The whole La Femme promise, in 90 seconds.
The shoot
Location: La Femme Beauty Lounge, Houston
Cast: Vantha plus six models
Crew of five to six, led by Mac-Anthony as director and director of photography
Cameras: Sony FX3 and FX6 with 14mm, 24–70mm, 50mm, 50mm macro and 70–200mm lenses
Schedule: two shoot days. Day one with the full cast and crew. Day two with a small crew for the opening scene and pickups.

The response
Vantha premiered the film at the expansion launch party, and her guests loved the film.
The film became one of the lounge's top Instagram posts for engagement, with zero ad spend.
The film lifted the brand to a more upscale look and told the story of the expansion in one piece.
